  I've been here twice and it is an excellent new addition to Blowing Rock's dining scene! The service is friendly and helpful. The bar puts out delicious and innovative drinks and the food is a delicious local take on southern. Not the fastest service at times, but it is a place you want to hang out in and take your time. Love it!

  I love good food. When I travel, I choose my path based upon my food stops. I regularly make trips across the state, so I get to stop and great places in Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Outer Banks and more. I really enjoy being able to mix up my culinary adventures regularly! Now that I have wordily self-qualified, let's get to the meat of this review. For the past year I have lived in Blowing Rock. The Speckled Trout has become an extension of my home. No place anywhere has had me hooked like this place does. Now when I travel, I yearn to go home so I can get the best burger anywhere around, and the best fries ever. I understand these things I am saying might be subjective. But everything I have had from this place has been awesome. Have you ever had fries from Thrasher's in Ocean City Maryland? This is the only place that has ever come close to those for me. Everything about this place is great, consistently, and it has become my favorite restaurant in the world!
